Is there an age limit to apply?
There is no legal age limit for Ausbildung. Employers usually prefer applicants between the ages of 18 and 30.
How does the process begin?
Join the Skool community, complete the orientation courses, and prepare your documents. Once your profile is ready, we present you to partner employers as openings come up.
Is German language mandatory?
Yes – B1 level is a legal requirement to apply for a visa and sign an employment contract.
How long does the Ausbildung in Germany take?
The duration of Ausbildung is typically three years, but may extend up to three and a half years based on the profession and your German language skills.
Can I work part-time during Ausbildung?
You will be working full-time as part of the dual education system – additional part-time work is not recommended due to the intensive schedule.
Do I have to pay tuition fees?
No tuition fees! Ausbildung is free, and you’ll receive a monthly stipend from your training company.
Can I switch career paths during Ausbildung?
Yes, but only within the first 6 months and depending on the availability of training positions and visa regulations.
What are the living expenses in Germany during Ausbildung?
The cost of living can range from €700 to €1,000 per month. Your monthly salary can help cover living costs, and a blocked account is required for visa approval.
How much will I earn?
Salaries during Ausbildung range from €500 to €800 per month, depending on profession and region.
Can I bring my family?
This is possible for Ausbildung graduates. Only after graduation and takeover by your employer (with a full-time job contract).
Is this a student visa?
No – this is a work visa for vocational training, with salary and social insurance.
