Hotel Specialist
Hotelfachmann / Hotelfachfrau
Germany's most popular hotel Ausbildung. You rotate through front desk, housekeeping, restaurant, kitchen, banqueting and sales — a full foundation in how a hotel runs.
What you'll learn
- Front desk: check-in, reservations, room allocation
- Housekeeping standards and room preparation
- Restaurant and breakfast service

Restaurant & Events Specialist
Fachmann / Fachfrau für Restaurants und Veranstaltungsgastronomie
The modern successor to the former Restaurantfachmann program. You master professional table service, drinks and wine knowledge, and running events — the complete front-of-house training.

Chef / Cook
Koch / Köchin
Germany's core culinary qualification. You train in a professional kitchen from day one — from food safety and prep to German and international cuisine, plating and menu planning.
What you'll learn
- Classical and modern cooking techniques
- German regional and international cuisine
- Mise en place and station work
- Food safety and HACCP
- Menu planning, costing and portioning
- Cold kitchen, pastry and dessert basics
Career path: Commis Chef → Chef de Partie → Sous Chef → Head Chef
Other hospitality programs in Germany
These programs also exist in Germany. We can only help you with them when a partner employer has an opening.
Who can apply
- Education: Senior High School (Grade 12) diploma or a college degree, any course
- German: B1 certificate (Goethe, telc or ÖSD). You can apply while you're still studying.
- Age: partner employers generally prefer applicants aged 18–30. This is an employer preference, not a legal requirement.
- Ready for shift work: standing, carrying, and evening and weekend shifts are normal in hospitality
- No experience needed: every program trains you from zero
From application to visa
- 1Complete your documents — B1 certificate, school credentials, motivation letter and CV.
- 2Document review — we check that you qualify.
- 3Matching and interview — when a partner employer has an opening, we match qualified applicants and prepare you for the interview.
- 4Contract and translations — sign your training contract, then translate the documents your visa needs.
- 5National visa (Type D) — we book your embassy appointment. You attend in person in the Philippines.
Openings depend on our partner employers, so we can't guarantee a placement or a timeline. Once your contract is signed, departure usually takes about 3–4 months.

What it costs you
We charge no placement fee — we're compensated by German employers. You do cover these costs on your own:
Estimates only. Housing is usually arranged by your employer, but you pay the rent. Many employers advance your flight and deduct it gradually from your allowance — this depends on the employer.

Which program is best if I'm new to hospitality?
Hotel Specialist gives you the broadest start, since you train in every hotel department. If you love working in a kitchen, Chef / Cook is the stronger fit.
How much will I earn during training?
You receive a monthly training allowance. The exact amount depends on your employer, profession and training year, and is confirmed in your contract.
Do I need hospitality experience?
No. All programs train you from zero.
Can I train at an international hotel chain?
It depends on which partner employers have openings. We can't promise a specific hotel or brand.
Will I work evenings and weekends?
Usually, yes. Shift work is normal in hotels and restaurants.
Can I apply before I have my B1 certificate?
Yes. You can apply while studying German. Employer matching starts once you submit your certificate.
